PSD EATON, complete setup!
« on: July 14, 2011, 06:24:18 pm »
Right guys - in short i cant justify the noise this makes when i go to work at 6am - simple
sounds off its tits but im getting on my neighbours tits

Complete setup really as im going down the turbo route

PSD Eaton bracket - less then 100 miles on kit
PSD toothed pulleys to suit (series 2 black) again 100miles on them
4th generation Eaton M45 - this aint no mini cooper charger - its a brand new aftermarket version with a custom inlet £££££££
Custom Outlet with a 3" bore and il chuck a few samcos in aswell.
K&N filter
PSD Phase 1 stainless steel manifold - no fouling on charger etc etc with a custom heatshield
PSD Eaton camshaft - done about 2k on this as it was on my old eaton setup
Safe map chip - bottom end of map is done by Andy from PPP and runs well.
custom rear bracket

I know i should put up a price but this isnt for sale yet - this kit will be on show at the poloshow so the buyer can see what he's getting and how it runs - it will be circa £900 open to negotiation

parts cost Eaton bracket £295 - toothed pulleys £200sumate Charger £200, 4branch £300, camshaft £180, PPP tinkered map £100+, inlet/outlet £100+

extras including tensioners, gaskets, etc etc

Any questions then please ask

Kieran

I'd be interested in the charger, charger bracket and toothies.

i may split but i dont wana take a massive hit on what this cost me. if i can sell all the bits and make enough i will split. all depends on what price is offered.

And when people see it at the show theyll fall in love with it, i just cant run it because of the noise in my lil cul de sac at 6am

Just out of intrest, do you know which turbo your going to use and more importantly which manifold as I'm trying to source a decent t25 flanged manifold at the moment and not coming up with much within a sensible price range.

it differs in many ways from the original PSD. i have a different charger which mkaes the inlet side sooooo much better - the outlet is shaped better to run a larger alternator, the rear hanger is a better fit then some of the others ive seen.

i was planning on running the throttle before the charger to reduce the noise - and the kit ive made will allow the next owner to do this if they wish.
i also found that brackets are not 100% correct and have got a bag of shims to set the mounting position up so you dont eat belts or get stupid wear on the pulleys!

yes, will be showing it all off at the next few shows but after that it will be sold. reason above still stands.
wurbo will be quieter unless i can get a cheap G60 charger
