Driver's door and battery tray
« on: October 16, 2011, 12:52:12 pm »
As per title - both are rusty on my car. Closer to Warwickshire the better!

Cheers!

Want me to check my local breakers? Last time i was there they had 4 mk3 polos with all doors intact, all in good condition. Some of them had the plastic trim missing though.

Yup! A secondhand one is fine, but as long as it's not rusty. Mine's not bad, but is a bit crusty at the bottom - so I'd rather get something better before having the car painted.

There was a mint door on a Mk.2 in Looms at the weekend  ;)

Got a brand new one from eBay last week. :-) Battery tray is repairable, but I'd still buy a mint original section from a scrapper.

That Mk.2 is cut up now. Just got to drill out the spotwelds on the steering column bracket then the battery tray is yours ;)
