Fuel pump relay is clipped to the side of the ecu along with the ecu relay, I forget which is which, it's in the FAQ section somewhere.

Is there actually any fuel in it? Sounds a lot like what happens when you run out

yes under the bonnet next to the fuse box.

g40 have 2 fuel pumps a primary ans secondary. 1 in the tank and 1 next to the fuel filter under the car.

are you nuts? it will be something simple and theres no point n breaking a G up just cos the fuel pumps not working.

Hav yo check da fuse?  So yo hav you nuffin at your pump?

Sorry cheap shot at barryboy english.   ;) ;D

Anyway back to proper english (the one you learnt at school)!  So, you've checked that none of the fuses have blown?  That you have the fuel pump working or not?  The relay has a wiring diagram on it, so look at that to test it, that or get a new one.  When you say, you have no power to the sender, which one do you mean? The blue CTS?

Does the engine turn over then on the starter?  Definitely sure it is a fuel problem?

Sorry just you haven't given us much info to go off in the first place.

how have you checked the relay?  When you are trying to start it, do you get a spark at the plugs?  It might seem unimportant but if you getting neither power to the fuel pumps or a spark then it could be an ECU problem.

oh right well that's the main fuel pump so if this has started since messing with that I'd say it's fairly clear where your problem is.

try checking to see if you have power going to the pump, pull off the plug and stick a meter on it while turning on ignition. if theres no power you might have disturbed a wire in or around the connection. if theres power there then its your pump

sounds like you mean the fuel filter.  If that's getting warm I can only think it is blocked.

I take it your typing replies off a phone?  ;D

Anyways, get a new fuel filter just to be on the safe side.  They are fairly cheap.  Can you 'feel' the pump working, i.e. hold your hand on it.
