Will be up for sale very soon,
Rebuild was carried out by pete, so you know its done to a great standard. I have always used pete as he's a top bloke and never had any problems.
The standard Rebuild price is £265, but i went ahead with the uprated countershaft bearing, extra £10, and i got the top bearing done as this is normally re-greased, which is an extra £42. So the total price was £315.
Its been run in correctly and boosts well, no oil in the charge pipes. Boost pressure is approx 11/12psi, but bear in mind i run 51mm tb, gt inlet, ported head and 1341cc so it will be lower than a standard engine. This charger made 171bhp on my car.
Bit of history of the charger, was bought from a member on here in winter 2010, with a total mileage of 3000 miles on the charger. He bought the charger brand new and then had it made to R1 spec, carried out by jabbasport in 2001. Certificate is in my possession. Had it fitted but never got round to driving it as much as he intended.
Had a part rebuild by pete in april 2012 as the oil seals failed. 4 seals were replaced and 2 bearings.
The charger was fitted to my car at 108500 miles when i 1st bought it, and was removed at 129969 for the full re-build, which brings the charger mileage to 24469. Since fitting it to the car its done 650 miles, so total charger mileage is 25119 miles. Very low for a charger, good thing is that its been rebuilt so its good for at least 20k with a 65mm pulley or 40k on standard pulley. I did the above mileage 24k on a 65mm pulley so it had done very well.
As for price, £500. I know £495 is jabba's price for a r1 spec and rebuild but they dont supply uprated bearings and the top bearing, from what people have said in the past, doesn't get changed. Plus you know its been rebuilt properly!
I run a standalone oil kit with a low pressure pump, i would recommend fitting it, leaving it run for 5 mins then drive for a few miles off boost. Just to let the oil seals get use to the normal engine oil pressure.
Will get pics once its off next weekend.
