where can i get etka from

really would like etka so i can order parts from vw by their part numbers as they keep getting the wrong bits when i describe the parts to them

can etka be bought

should be able to get it on things like bit bit torrent and limewire.  You can't buy it, only get hold of pirate copies, it's internal VW software.

Or you can just use vagcat.com which is what I tend to do these days as it's easier than loading etka.

i've noticed vagcat gives incorrect part numbers on some parts when compared to etka

Ive found this too!
The part number for item 5 is the part number for item 6 and 6 for 7 and so on and so on.

I Bought Version 7.2 off ebay and it ask to be loaded onto drive "C".
Normally! on a Genuine version you would be able to specify the drive
but being a copy it was fixed for C.
My Hard drive is "J" so it wouldn`t work.
I emailed the guy who said it can`t be altered so i ask for a refund wich
he did straight away but also said- Don`t worry about returning the disc.
So i Have this but part is in Russian so its Fookin useless anyway 

What version do you have Robin ?
Prices may be out by now but it sounds good.

fred a decent copy of etka will let you loads to anywhere.

The reason you have to go to C:/ is becuase they have copied the prog files.

If you send me a USB stick (dont have a disk drive yet) then I can put etka on it for you

The version I have can only be installed from the CD I think. Have tried magic iso and other programs like that but once it's installed it's pukka! Pretty handy software to have

i have version 7, the newer versions don't have prices on them.

the prices on V7 is not far off, most of the G40 stuff is about £1 cheaper at VW than ETKA, gives a good indication of the prices i guess.
