I thought it was this one Pete, do you have any use for the shell / block or was it literally just purchased for parts? (sorry to hi-jack)

Edit: Nevermind I totally just read your first post. How much rust is there on the shell? how good would it be with a re-spray or is it a VERY tired shell structurally?

Block is in my red one  I bought the car to get a few bits off for a friend track G40 and a new engine for mine. The rest is to make some cash back and stuff I don't need.

The shell has had a hard life to be fair, it used to be totally stripped, but 86C (Steve) welded seat runners back in a good few years ago now, and generally put lots of trim back in for the then owner Andy Baetson. Lewis (G40_LP) then bought it, and did the rest of the mods.

I've offered it for free as it seems a shame to scrap another genuine G40, but the shell does need alot of paint love and parts like the sunroof won't be easy to sort.

Ideal for a trackday G40 project base though (especially as it's free!)

Should have said, you could of had it for free!

Clutch wise I wouldn't put much more than 170-180bhp through it on a regular basis, Robin had one on his turbo (194bhp and I think it started to slip after 5000miles or so).

Hmm, well I've set my goal low at 180, rather have reliability than balls out power. Would you be willing to do some kind of a deal on the clutch and the injectors?

I did mean to ask about the damper but got distracted and then didn't click on until I got back, think I'm sorted for one now tho but cheers anyway mate
