Oil pump
« on: November 09, 2010, 07:22:14 pm »
Took my oil pump apart to measure it up check it out n clean it up. All was lovley but when putting it back together I put a small bead of loctite 574 on it as I thought it would seal it up nicley. This loctite is anerobic and it still spins nicley. But it ocoured to me afterward that it was probly not sealed with sealant or gasket for a reason. Should I take it apart and scrape it all of or just leave it alone now and it will be fine ??

The gap between the baseplate and the rotor's pretty critical, I reckon you'd be better cleaning it off.
