Just wondering what everyone on here uses on there car and how good it is.
I am using autoglym shampoo, which smells really nice, a meguiars drying towel and in my opinion its 10 times better than a chamois. Little more expensive than the autoglym chamois i use. And i use mer polish. Not used wax yet but wanna try it. Any recomendations?
I have always used a chamois and thought it was really good but then a mate said try a drying towel so i did.
Let me know what you use.
Cheers

Diamond Brite.
Only needs polishing once a year when you put this stuff on. Highly recommended if you get a fresh paint job.
-
autogym shampoo and high definition wax applied with those little circular pads that have to be kept moist.
Sometimes do the merguiars 3 step, the paint cleaner seem to work well.
Mind you in this weather i give up, ditched again even if i don't use the thing.

Rain to wash it, wind to dry it.

:D ;D ;D

elite car care drying towel
then klasse all in one paint restorer and polish and klasse sealant - Then a collinite wax - all on my detailing machine (when i can be assed - i.e. once every summer!)

wash with autoglym shampoo, on the big flat surfaces i dry the water of with a wiper blade and wind for the rest. autoglym polish and some other autoglym stuff for the finish (cant remember the name.)

Haven't washed it for a while, its been in bits in the garage for over a year! My R32 gets autoglym shampoo, autoglym chamois to dry, autoglym super resin polish every couple of months.

Auto Glym wax, Not cheap @ £25ish a pop but results are bloody good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

i've used that showroom shine stuff before off shopping channel, you just spray on and wipe off, no water needed and it leaves a waxed shiny finish, expensive tho at £25 a bottle.

Rain to wash it, wind to dry it.
This is also Hayesey's method.
Infact their Polos only get washed when I do it! Although Hayesey did manage to wave a sponge over his last time it was down the unit...
I use Zymol shampoo (smells nice) and either Tech Wax, T-Cut Colour (tornado red owners know it ;) ) or if I've got enough time, Meg 3 stage after a claybar. I find autoglym stuff is too dusty.
Meguiars bumper shine is the dogs dangalies! I use a silicone blade on windows and big body panels, then a proper decent chamois soaked in boiling water for a while.

G40 - zymol shampoo, rinsed with rain water (find it streaks less ;) ), left to dry. Polished with turtle wax colour match to bring the colour back up. Seems to do the job.
Mk4 - Imo carwash!

Polish car wash on the seafront, top job.

Megs NXT shampoo.
I use these cloths to dry up, did use the megs water magnet towel but then tried these and they are 10 times better than the meg WM cloths.

I then use some Megs NXT wax.
And to finish off i use this stuff, brilliant stuff but expensive, well worth it though.
