1991 Polo Mk3 GT/G40, 69K miles
« on: August 10, 2010, 01:29:17 pm »

Up for sale is my 1991 Polo Mk3 GT that had a 1.3ltr G40 engine conversion carried out in 2002 by Radicool (vw/audi specialists). Since the conversion the car has only covered around 15,000miles, which is when the cambelt and water pump was changed.

The shell itself has not much over 105,000 miles, but the G40 engine only has 69,000 miles.
The GT shell was originally red but has had a respray in grey.

I have a hugh amount of receipts and paperwork for 95% of the work carried out.

Here is the spec:

Engine:
Jabba Sport R1 Supercharger (Serviced under 2,000 miles ago)
Green cotton filter and Jabbasport heat shield
68mm pulley with suitable chip
Rebuilt and flowed head with matched manifolds
Dewedged and modified throttle body
Performance Cam (not sure of make)
Jetex 2" middle exhaust with Torque Technique back box
Oil cooler
Carbon bulk head cover (covers ecu, battery, fuse box)
Uprated paddle clutch
Uprated Black silicone hose from charger to intercooler

Chassis/Suspension:
Lowered 40mm on springs
Front lower strut brace

Brakes:
256mm Front brake conversion
Drilled discs
Braided brakes lines

Wheels and Tyres:
VW Forged 14" Le Castelettes painted black with nearly Brand 195/45/14 Falken tyres

Interior:
G40 Interior
Momo Race steering wheel
Shortened gear stick with Momo gear knob
Autogauge boost gauge mounted on dash pod
6.6" components mounted in door builds by Sextons
Infinity 6x9's mounted in parcel shelf
Clifford Concept 300 Category 1 alarm and immobiliser installed by Sextons

Exterior:
Respray in grey
Smoothed boot with popper (solenoid) with number plate relocated onto bumper
Smoothed door handles with poppers(solenoids) linked to the key fob
Debadged grill with GT badge
Vinyl black roof
Black 6n2 rear VW badge
Crystal front indicators
Smoked side repeators
Black fuel flap

Within the last 6 months the car has a had a full service which included Bosch W5DPO plugs, oil and fuel filters, oil, brake fluid change and bleed, HT Leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm, coolent change, wipers. Its also had a new hand brake cable.

Bad Points:
Slight rust bubble at the bottom left hand side of the front windscreen. Bodywork is in good condition, but is not perfect as expected from a 20yr old car. Interior is slightly faded but has no rips, tears or major bolster wear.

The car is still currently registerd as a 1.3 GT and is up the new owner to change this on the log book.

MOT till July 2011, Tax till 31st December

Alot of money has been spent on the car and it really shows when it gets lots of attention at shows and from general people, and the drive blows you away everytime.

Its had loads of new parts on the car over the past few years, including brakes, bushes, etc.

Price: bearing in mind the low milage I'm looking for £3300 ono

I'm in no real hurry to sell the car so no silly offers please.

Willing to P/X, so show me what you got!!!

Contact Dave on: 07596311407 or 07783993522

Thanks for Looking.

The last 2 dont do the car much justice as they were taken from a camera phone, but i will get some decent snaps up asap!!

Hey I think I saw you and spoke to you at Santa pod on the weekend just as it started to rain and you were putting the car away.

From what I saw it looked like a tidy motor for a conversion, I liked the little Vw badge set in the rad cover.

Jake.

I wished i had waited for sunday too. I ran a 15.3, could'nt get much grip in 1st gear. I just wished i had some sticky tyres though, like Yoyo R888's would had got a much better result.
