Mine was £319 for a year but only TPFT through Brentacre.  This was the best at the time as this was my second car so I couldn't use my NCP.

Also have limited mileage of 5,000. They are good for a few mods, airbox, exhaust etc.

Sounds like you got a good deal :)

Brentacre are great with loads of modifications.  I'm with them too, limited mileage, fully comp, very modified, shit postcode...etc... comes out to a smidge over £500.

Hi, just done Heritage Quote and got estimate of £294.45p. It didn`t ask for no claims
bonus unless i missed it. It was for Fully Comp all in. I`m 44 so gotta be bit cheaper.

 Regards, Fred.

is that cheaper than what you already pay?? i thought it was a cracking quote, all the other company's wanted around £650 to £700 due to my age.
it didn't ask me for no claims either.

if you're getting quotes for a "classic" policy then no claims doesn't apply as far as I'm aware, there's no discount for it and you don't build up any.  So you might want to bear that in mind, if you at some point buy a newer car and have to go on a non-classic policy you may have no NCB built up, check with these companies you're getting quotes from.

Some of them are arsey about mods too I thought.

i'm already paying for a full policy on my other car and have 7 years no claims, this was just something extra i was looking at as i don't want to tie both my cars up with one policy.
my polo is mainly garaged anyway so this would suit me fine. still not sure weather i will make rolling road day as my car keeps cutting out, i thought at first it was a fuel problem but now it might be something to do with the immobiliser, but anyway! thats the sort of cover i need.

cheers Tom

Brentacre all the way for me, its the best price I've been quoted with all my mods declared and I get to speak to someone with a Welsh accent, got to say 'Its tidy like init!'

I`ve just re done Heritage Quote as a normal insurance
(last 1 was classic) this tine as daily. Dropped even
 more to £237.75p

My last car a Fiat Marea weekend estate 1.6ltr
Pileoshite was a fair bit more than that.

Yep, the old man had issues when he let his insurers know that his Jensen now had 496 cubic inches. His original insurer had said it'd be okay, but they were being spesh and ultimately computer said no. He did find another classic specialist in the end (can find out who if anyone's interested) that did mods, agreed value all for a sickeningly cheap price.

  Sorry i didn`t answer you tdh-syorks. I havn`t had G40 insurance before.
I have a G40 conversion i`ve just picked up but the shell is rather naff so
gonna put it all into my Polo Genisis after rebuilding the engine.
That was the only quote i`ve done so far.

well i actually phoned them up yesterday and they seem like a good set of guys. i clicked the buy it now section on their website and it told me to phone them up, i thought here we go, i'm gonna get a silly quote but he just said the price i got quoted on screen was the price i'd pay. they only accept one off payments tho, no monthly payments.
