After replacement of the hose connections of the petrol station, the car does not start any more.
It started very well before.
The pump turns and the gasoline arrives at the level of the slope.
Many thanks for any help you can provide.
Kind regards

Sorry for the bad English. I am French girl and not very familiar with technical questions.

tdh-syorks

which hose connections do you mean??? i don't understand, do you mean the fuel pump hose from the tank to the fuel rail??

breadman

Maybe she means hoses on the "petrol tank" as opposed to "petrol station"? Breather hoses or hoses to the pump?
As for "gasoline arrives at the level of the slope"  :-\ ???

Fpic, can you try and explain again and maybe we can help you.

Hello,

Thank you for trying to understand what I wrote  :). Reading again it is really confusing. ::)

We will try to swap the hoses as suggested.

Just in case, does anybody has a diagram of the pump so we can check the connections.

Also another idea we had that you may perhpas confirm.
We understood that there is a secong pump inside the petrol tank. As the petrol tank has been empty for few weeks, so maybe the second pump is blocked and doesn't allow enough pressure.

Thank you again.

Hi again,

Forgot to tell that the car is a G40 Type II (1988). Can be important. Only 500 were sold in France.

Hello,
Thanks for your answers.
My friend could finally fix his car.
It was beause the fuel pump (under the car) was blocked and it died during the starting tries.
We could hear the pump, however, it was the one inside the fuel tank.
We just replaced the fuel pump by one from a G60 and it is now working.
