Can a knakerd scroll shaft bearing make the scroll rattle and move within the casting, if it does how can you tell, I can't determine why my engine shudders on occasion

shudders might be due to the clutch not biting properly- oil contamination? engine mounts loose/worn? timing out?

often when the scroll bearing has gone it makes no discernible noise, just quietly wears the scroll till the supercharger is knackered.
