Water under back seat?
«

So I put the polo in the shed for the winter months and I noticed mould growing like crazy on the inside :S
Got a dry day yesterday so managed to clean the fu*k out of the inside and its as good as new. But I pulled up the back seat and its soaking with a bit of water on lying in the wee dip where it sits.
Im pretty sure there are no leaks at all, the body is mint. how could this water get here? Condensation dripping over months or what? anybody else come across this? how could I prevent this from happening?
Cheers..

might be coming from the back light clusters. take them out and put a seal of grease round where they sit on the car.

I found the problem there. hard to explain where, but seems to be comming from below the rear left light to the right a bit where metal joins to metal. It just rained and basically poured in there. sealed it up now.
cheers anyway...

I had the same problem and found out it was the rear left light too.

I had this on my first one years ago. Drove me crazy for about 3 months before I figured it out. Same cause as everyone else it seems!

Silicon sealer. If you're after a particular brand I always used Tiger Seal with no ill-effects.
