I've got a lot of steering wheel play on the Polo, there is a good few degrees of movement before the wheels start to move, has only recently happened so i know something isn't right.

Not had a chance to look at what the problem is yet as i been doing other stuff on the car but i will have a look at it next weekend, anyone got any suggestions on what is likely to be the cause or if anyone has had the same problem before?

Check the nut on the clamp on the steering column down near the pedals
