hi just wondering what top mounts everyone are using i have had some from GSF on for about a year and they sound and feel knackered.
Read up alot and found that VW are ok but some people are saying they get destroyed quickly aswell?

So would like more info before i buy some

Cheers

if you dont want to bother, get original topmounts. i got pattern mounts and they don't look strong, the bearing is kinda crappy.

if you want aftermarket, there are some bonrath poly topmounts on ebay, also think they are camber adjustable and front gets lower.

cheers

Good luck getting some vw ones, they are now obsolete :-( I tried recently

Had a thread on club polo about this.

I ended up getting some bonrath ones off Phil J in the end. These allow some camber adjustment too. They look real nice and but haven't fitted them yet, job to do over Christmas.

I just put some vw ones on and they dont seem right. The mounts look exactly the same and i still get the knocking noise when going over bumps.

I'm glad I'm not the only one (but SKF GSF mounts for me).

For me, it wasn't the TCAs unfortunuately. Rubber bushes again is a luxury though Smiley Damn polybushes were harsh

etches - deffo keep us posted on them, i noticed them for sale, but wanted some feedback first

bonrath used to sell uprated top mounts

a thread about them here

http://z8.invisionfree.com/POLO3/index.php?showtopic=11779

this company used to list them for sale but i cant find them on the site anymore, might be worth dropping them an email to find out the supplier
