One of the last things we watched on Sunday was some serious bit of dragster kit kissing the wall at silly speeds and managing to not roll it somehow. For those of us that saw it apparently he got away with superficial damage! Theres a crap video too.

yeah it looked a hell of a lot worse in real life than in that video, he slammed sideways into the wall at a fair old rate. He did well to keep it shiny side up that's for sure.
also saw a crash on sunday morning where a guy in a mk2 cortina got 3rd gear instead of 5th right at the top of the strip, locked rear wheels and span into the mk2 escort in the lane next to him. Both must have been doing 100+. Fortunately no injuries. The cortina came off worst with quite a bit of front end damage and the drivers door didnt fit in the hole any more! The escort had a bashed in rear quarter. Later in the day the escort was back on the strip but broke down just off the the start line and had to be pushed off. Not sure what happened in the end, the guy was messing about with wiring under the bonnet for quite a while after being pushed off.
