Been looking at some this morning and was wondering is it worth getting a 1 tonne or 2 tonne?

I'd go for the 1 ton personally, no need for 2 ton when the car all in weighs about 850kg or there abouts.

Assuming you only want to use it Polo stuff, not lorries, etc :p

Yeah its just for the polo really. If im working on lorries then there is something going wrong  Cheesy

I dont think there are many car engines that weigh 1 tonne as well.

G40 engine and gearbox complete weigh about 150kg's?

well a 1 tonne crane will lift your entire polo without much fuss so it'll be more than enough for the engine.  Unless you're planning on doing some work on tank engines at some point I can't see any reason to go for anything more than 1 tonne

yeah, 2 tons abit overkill. We have a 2ton at work but thats for working on the fleet of trucks.
