Im helping a friend sort his g40 turbo out at the moment. The first problem was a blowing head/manifold gasket.

A tubular manifold is being used and the gasket was blowing badly from number 4 cylinder.

Ive been told to use a 6n metal gasket in between two standard gaskets to make sure it doesnt blow again.

Is this overkill? What do you use on your turbos?

thanks

standard fibre g40 exhaust manifold gasket on mine.  Who made the tubular manifold he has?  maybe the flange is warped?

Im not sure, it came on the car. Was from germany.
Ill get a rule on it later and check it for straightness.
Good to know the g40 gasket is fine, thought 3 gaskets was overkill!
