I know this has been mentioned before in threads and most people t into the feed for the rad for the turbo water feed, doesn't this mean that the coolant only flows to the turbo when the thermostat is open is this correct ? And is this how it's ment to be or should there be a perminant flow of cooling Water to the turbo ?
Also the return for the water lines could I t it into the outlet of the rad or would this make a closed loop of water being constantly heated untill the stat opens?

Feed - top rad hose (not the bottom which is thermostat controlled)
Return - I T'd mine into the small 8mm hose which connects to the top of the header tank, though I've also seen it T'd to the larger (16mm?) bottom header tank hose. I wouldn't T the bottom rad hose at all.
Hope this helps

yeah cheys is right, if you take the supply from the top rad hose then it'll get flow all the time.  If you put the return into the bottom rad hose then it wont work as this is only flowing when the thermostat is open.  I've got my return going into the small overflow pipe to the top of the header tank,

What's the difference between t-ing into the top expansion tank pipe (8mm) and the larger bottom one going between solid water pipe and expansion tank (16mm)? The kit I bought has the pipework teed into the lower 16mm pipe just wondering if I should change to the small overflow or if it doesn't matte I'll stick with what I've got.
Also what heat sheilding have people used on there pipes around turbo ??

I've got heatwrap round the manifold and downpipe as I had a roll kicking about! Getting it around the manifold is abit fiddly mind.

Out of interest, will a turbo get hot enough where the air inlet is to melt a silicone pipe?
