i always wanted one of these, they have quite a good look to them, this has got to be one of the most origional cars over 30 years old in the country. I just love it, shame i cant afford it

It's not on ebay anymore but I'm guessing it was a Chevette? I had a 1.3 saloon as my first car, it was slow but rear wheel drive was fun at times.

Yep, pretty cool. My dad used to own a 'Blackwatch' hatchback with chrome starmag type wheels from what i can remember. I was about 5 year old at the time
A bit of google and here is one of the devils

About 10 years ago my mate in college had one, given to him by his gran. He was so embarrased by it he'd park it down the road instead of the car park!

One of my friends from school had an Opel Kadett as his first car - basically a Chevette Saloon with an Opel badge. Remember going to a disused airfield one lunchtime and rallying it around on the grass.

No Chevette,no Vauxhall, it's as simple as that. Up till the Chevette came along Vauxhall really was in the shit. The Chevy was a quantum leap forward in small car reliability and practicality and with the 2.3 twin cam, a rally winner. So where did they all go. As usual, Vauxhall didn't give any attention to rustproofing.
