Club G40 rally and Tatton park show 8th, 9th August

Hi all,

Well it is only a month away now until the Club G40 rally. The route and stop on the  Saturday evening will follow much the same as last year. There are three plots booked on the campsite but this can be changed depending on numbers. It would be ideal if we could also book a table for the food for when we get there, last year it was very busy for food and there was a bit of a wait involved. So if people could indicate their interest that would be great. I don’t want to put people off by saying only put your name down if you are definitely going but I’d rather people only put their name down if they are commited to at least trying to make it. If we end up booking more plots on the campsite because people all say they want to camp and they don’t turn up, the club will end up paying extra for them and ClubG40 dosent make vast amounts of cash! Sorry to make it sound a tad draconian but you know how these things normally go.

Anyway to the event, later on Mr Hayes will put up full details of the route involved but basicall we will start off at the ladybower inn http://www.ladybower-inn.co.uk/(post code for satnav S33 0AX) at 1ish and once everyone is sorted etc we’ll set off on the route. Last year we had a spot of lunch and a drink whilst we waited for people to arrive as the ladybower inn is a nice pub itself. Pete and I will aim to be there from around 12:30 onwards. The G40 admin will make our phone numbers available to everyone in case you get lost or breakdown etc. Last years event was really good  despite the rather inclement weather (it hammered it down with rain all day on the Saturday). So hopefully with some better weather this years will be even better. I’m sure Paul will chip in with how good the beer and the excellent pie was at the pub too!

that boozer has the best pies I've ever had.  Decent beer too for any fellow real ale fans   A decent atmosphere in there too, it's not an old man's pub there were loads of younger people in there at night last year. 

The route was great, if the rain holds off this time it'll be an awesome drive.

don't think mine's comin now, oh Sam, i won't be campin over as i have a wedding that night.
i will be going on the rally and i will be turning up sunday too. just not campin, ill be travelling back to sheffield at around 5:30pm
