been thinking...  why do we have the rolling road at such a shit time of year?

only reason i ask is..well i dont mind travelling as i probably live further than most but the weather is always poor and freezing which inevitably makes things a little less sociable (i just wanna get home approx 4 hours for me)

whats the chances of having

1.  a meet/gathering mid country (birmingham or similar)..meet in the afternoon take photos, chat, banter. then dump stuff at travel lodge and have a night out.

2.  all the above but have rolling road too.

just October seems a strange time.  Am i alone with this thought?

plus.  just club g40 members/owners would be good.  as at the end of the day that's what it would be about.  nothing to do with getting one up on other clubs or owt.  just our own thing would be great.

i thought before vwnw (one day only sunday show) we could camp out somewhere in the peaks, there's some decent roads round there and we could have a club stand at the show and night before have a convoy stylee couple of hours on the moorland roads - what do people reckon?

We always used to have a night out and stay at a travel lodge type place after the Club G40 rolling road days, I've had some properly funny nights out in wolverhampton civic hall.

It's just always been in october, I think the reasoning was that there's nothing else going on then so it's easier to organise and not have it clash with other shows or big events.  Plus it gives us something to do over winter.

I'm definitely up for a summer get together though, Pete's idea before VWNW sounds great.
