Hi Guys,

Just in talks with Stu over on R5 Turbo Owners Club, about organising another 1/4mile thrash for us all- basically I'm trying to set the classes out as below:

Class 1: Standard Cars (engine wise)
Class 2: Standard Charger/Turbo Stock Capacity
Class 3: Modified Charger/Turbo Capacity under 1500cc
Class 4: Unlimited - Non standard engine, RWD etc (anything goes)

Should hopefully level the playing field a little- also gives Ash and other 20v lads a chance to streach their legs in the Unlimited Class  :scyth:

Also trying to get it at Santa Pod, as it's a better track and far more central for most members, just need to settle on a date that's not too near anything else...

Polos should stand a good chance now, Steve (beavis) proved polos can penetrate the 13s in true road form, as has Andy and Duncan, who have both been knocking on 13s door for far too long now  Cheesy

Who's up for it??

I am game mate.

Good idea with the classes, although I don't think completely stock cars even exist anymore. And the ones that do aren't really the type to taking it down the strip.

Any rough ideas for dates.?

I think i can get another 2 G40 boys along with me as well to make up some decent numbers this time. Plus Santa Pod is just up the road.

Cool stuff, all about having fun  LOL  and hopefully beating a few ronalds whilst doing it.

There's also a show and shine, which I expect a fair few members on here will trounce the competition (looking towards you Alex and Spaniel) so it's not all focused around the strip.

Renault boys are good lads too, true petrol heads and wlays have some good banter and interesting conversions to hand- swapping ideas isn't a bad thing either, especially with the new breed of turbo'd polos coming through, can deffinately learn a thing or two from the renault boys- they've been running in the 13s (and lower) for years

Been talking to my mate Stu at RTOC,  there should be some news from Yoof soon.

To get you thinking Stu has sent me this link to their 1/4 mile times.

He recons that 2/3 of the people on the list are regular attenders to 1/4 mile days.

There's lots of them in the 15s, 14s etc too- They're the quickest of the quick on the leaderboard.

I'm hoping to be in the 12s soon- but will still get a spanking if anyone from their top ten turns up.

Be interesting to see how many of them are road legal...

That picture of the tyre is quite cool...though the red comic sans doesn't quite live up to potential.

People need to get plenty of pics/video from the event.
