I heard something off this bloke at work that the amount of road tax we pay we should have the best roads in the world but the percentage of our tax that they actually pay towards the roads means theyre not!..dunno how true this is though?
It's very,very true;but successive governments have been so embarrased as to why the money isn't spent on the roads that they had to escape from the problem questions.Now it's not Road Tax you pay so when you pay your Vehicle Excise Duty, fuck all goes on the roads. A big chunk goes to maintaining Britains lead in other forms of transport such as Railways......Railways...
