Hey dennis,

paul - sold up fully i think after ditching his half prepped track car.

richie - he's on here actually, but g40-less. (his old car is for sale)

marshall is still about with the same car. He was at the polo show this year in a mk2 blue saloon tho.

That car did seem to suck up money. he wanted it to have everything possible.

Richie was never safe in a g40  Grin

Glad Marshall is still around,

he still drives it on the road but yeah it's certainly not a daily driver!  He has a really nice mk2 baby blue saloon as a daily.

Until recently was just a track slag, but he got it MOT'd to drive it to Oulton Park last month!

Is that Dennis?

I was still getting the odd email from the old yahoo group not all that long ago (some spam but some g40 questions).  Although don't remember getting any for a good while now.

Hi guys

what happened to

Still here, No VW's at present... have plans though.  Still in RAF.  Was a singly living on base back then, lots of money to burn hence spending the lot on the polo.  But reality set in, mortgage etc, polo needed a fair few more grands worth spent on it to effectively be a berg cup spec ish, basically finish inside off, remove that AWT frame and replace with full space frame and redo engine, that money ran out when house was bought, 70mile commute doesn't help either, plus spend 6months of year effectively in the usa.  Petty arguments/bad vibes between PSD and RPM camps took there toll those years back, i look back at it and hide my head in shame.  Grown up alot since then, older and wiser.  I do plan another polo or corrado, this time with a capped budget, but most likely mk2 polo 1600 16v iTBs or g40 turbo or rado 2l 16vT.  Planning a 1st round berg cup trip next year for inspiration and rear axles ideas. lol.

Richie is no longer in the RAF, he PVR'd not that long ago.

Really good to see mathers still at it and looking a beast of a track car.

Top Marks to Yoof aswell, blinding mk1 build!
